"I recently made a trip from Lakeland (LAL) FL to Odenton (FME) (Fort Meade) MD. I borrowed a Zulu from my flying buddy for the trip. I was so impressed with the Zulu on that approximately 12 hour trip that I immediately ordered my Zulu upon my return. It will be delivered by UPS tomorrow. I can't wait to use it on Friday and see the smile on my flying buddy's face.
I would also like to trade my 25XL in for a Zulu but I bought the 25XL as a reconditioned form "Lightspeed" and your present rules won't allow it. Please let me know when and if you ever plan to change that rule. Until then, it will stay in the right seat.
I am a CFI and two of my students are now using Zulu. Perhaps more will convert as my Zulu will go with me to their cockpits. Incidentally, the cell-phone plug-in feature on the Zulu allowed me to get my IFR clearance by phone with the engine running from FME through the Washington ADIZ and on to my refueling stop with total ease.
